Mr. Dillon attended San Joaquin College of Law after his undergraduate studies at Fresno State University, where Mr. Dillon’s Major was Philosophy. Mr. Dillon’s experience in the field of Law began during Law School during which he worked at both the District Attorney’s Office for Madera County and the Public Defender’s Office in Fresno County as a Certified Law Student. While working for each of these agencies Mr. Dillon’s superiors felt that he displayed exceptional qualities and allowed Mr. Dillon to appear in Court and handle cases in his capacity. After Graduating Law School Mr. Dillon went to work for the United States Department of Justice , and was entrusted with the authority to rule on merits of Immigrations issues presented to him as a District Adjudications Officer for the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Mr. Dillon’s rulings centered on determining the ability of persons to become Legal Permanent Residents in the United States, Granting or Denying Employment Authorization, and various other findings.
Mr. Dillon left Government employment in order to achieve greater growth and to expand his abilities both in Immigration Law and in Criminal Law. Mr. Dillon has worked for both Law Firms and in his own practice. As a result Mr. Dillon has been admitted to the Federal Court, for the Eastern District Court of California, The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the California State Bar. Mr. Dillon is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has received letters of appreciation and praise in from this association, to include Recognition from a Past President o the Association when Mr. Dillon resolved an issue that the past President of AILA was not capable of addressing. Mr. Dillon has handled literally hundreds of Felony and Misdemeanor Criminal Cases and has Participated in Complex Litigation involving the Federal Courts for both Criminal and Immigration issues.
